Pitch Blog: starting brainstorming!

Image
Me and my group came up with three pitches for short film concepts. Here they are.   1) A ex-homeless man steals from major NASDAQ level companies and gives his stolen riches back to the homeless.  2) A trio of reckless teenagers devise and attempt to execute a plan to pull off the ultimate bank heist. 3) A man is so obsessed with a celebrity he will do whatever it takes to "trade lives".  My group decided to go with pitch number two. We picked pitch number two because we felt like it would be the most fun to make. The movie "Going In Style" is an inspiration for this concept. In that movie a group of old men rob a bank and it is a very fun watch. This concept with a teenage cast has never been done before in film and bank robbery films are always fun to watch. We also have a bank that can serve as a filming location at access so it wouldn't be a problem finding a place to film. I am very excited to make this film with my friends and create something I am proud

Group Blog: new year new group

Our first project is the movie. I am working with Zane Knapp, Cayden McTighe, and Luke Hamill. Luckily all these people happened to be my friends prior to starting the projecting meaning it was very convenient and easy to choose groups. We've delegated jobs already. I'm quite excited though I know that Media Studies will teach me many important lessons. Mostly how to cooperate. And how to compromise. Respectfully. It is an important skill meant for any person's fundamental growth. We will need it in the future. For most of our jobs. Collaborating is almost inevitable. It'd be a sad life if we all did not know how to function with others. We've discussed products to make commercials on. I don't exactly know that many commercials as I don't watch television so often. I thought at first in most of my classes I did not have many friends. I guess making the best of the unfortunate is also an important thing to do. I think in our age group, embarrassment holds

Year 2 is underway! My name is Ben Polsky. I am so excited to start my second year as a Media Studies A-Level expert! Here's a little bit about me. I love watching films and specifically studying cinematography. I like this class quite a lot. Some of my favorite films and series are Parasite, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Master of None, L'Avventura, Get Out, and Ratatouille. They are all a bit different but truly express how magic is made from film in general. I am currently excited to see what will ensue with this new project. The first project. I had some rough ideas though I know those will be adjusted as I am working with group members that have their own input. I also am glad people I am friendly with chose to tale the class. Especially the ones in the same period. It automatically gives me an advantage when it comes to collaborating with people. Some of my friends came up with products to create a commercial on. Though I do like my ideas better I am flexible. I can
