SHORT FILM RESEARCH: The Guilt

  For short film research i decided to watch the short film, The Guilt by David Victori. I looked for similarities between the action genre and this film. These are some of the similarities i found   Common Sound: The film similarly uses non-diegetic sound to use intense music in tense parts of the film. The film also uses background music to express emotion in the film. The film also uses sound effects which could be used in action films as well.   Common Mis-En-Scene: The film uses similar costume to the action genre with a messy , dirty, costumes. The film also uses similar lighting to show the sweat on characters which brings out the intensity. Project Blog: When the music stops

As we come to a full stop on our music video production, we can look back on the good times we had. From filming with each other and laughing at Ben falling on the ice, this was such a fun project. Since we were already friends, this project just made us closer. From making the storyboard. All the way into the final edits. Even the song we chose brought it’s own fun. It’s Christmas time right now. We all are going to have happier holidays knowing how much fun we had. But it isn’t over. We will keep having fun into the future.

Critical Reflection

In this critical reflection I will be exploring how my movie, "Can't Be That Hard", does the following things. Represent social groups, create branding, engage with the audience, and how my movie uses/challenges conventions. All of these are key in a proper reflection and look back at one's work. Especially something so tedious and detailed as a short film.  My movie, "Can't Be That Hard", is about 3 friends who feel bored, so, they rob a bank. It is a story of irony and action. Looking back at our film through a lens of critical reflection, our product successfully represents issues people face today. In the film you can witness boredom due to technology and over stimulation. The 3 friends are too comfortable with their technology and are over stimulated by it to the point of deciding that robbing a bank could cure their boredom.
